Darin Via has been involved in agriculture his entire life, spending countless hours working the family farm in Swisher County, Texas. Upon completion of a B.S. degree in Agriculture Economics at Texas Tech, where he was also a member of the livestock judging team, Darin returned to the family farm. The family farm was a diversified operation consisting of row crop and stocker cattle along with a small cow/calf herd. In 2004, he had the opportunity to continue his education at West Texas A&M University and manage the Nance Ranch for the university.
Upon completion of his graduate studies, Darin went to work for US Trust managing farm and ranch properties in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska, and Wyoming. His management portfolio consisted of both dryland and irrigated farms as well as livestock operations with agreements ranging from simple cash leases to more intricate crop share arrangements as well as direct management of ranch operations. During his time at US Trust, Darin managed legacy properties held in family trusts as well as agricultural assets for charitable trusts, foundations, institutional and private investors. Darin managed a portfolio of approximately 70 properties totaling more than 150,000 acres and was instrumental in sourcing and managing properties for US Trust’s high net worth clients in the Great Plains region. Darin has extensive experience in analyzing investment grade properties and It was the experience gained in sourcing investment properties that led Darin to pursue his real estate license.
Darin is currently licensed as a sales agent in Texas working out of the Amarillo office. He and his wife ReBecca live in Amarillo and have four children.
